Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August 1965, is an American actor. Her most prominent part is as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13, 2012, after the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has stated that she participates in Passover seders.
